This project had a strong emphasis on both desirability and viability. For desirability, we did numerous user testing sessions to ensure that the new gamified rewards structure was easy to understand and it incentivized users enough to want to come back. For viability, we had to design this rewards structure in order for the unit economics to make sense on the business end in addition to ensuring that we built the right engagement vehicle to hit business metrics.
